Introduction
In my quest to check off all the Tesla Supercharger sites in MI that are open to non-Tesla EVs, I had the chance to stop and charge at this site in the thumb. Site visit on July 25, 2026.

While I was in the thumb, I took the opportunity to visit and charge at one of the few remaining Tesla Superchargers I had not visited yet. This is the smallest site open to non-Tesla drivers with only 6 dispensers. These are early V3 stations with each set of three dispensers powered by one cabinet. It was a beautiful morning to be charging during my visit. (This station opened in August 2022).
Accessibility
This Meijer site is in the parking lot of the superstore business. The location is directly on M-53, the major north/south road through the middle of the thumb. At the intersection of M-53 and M-142 this site provides a convenient location for most travel throughout the area. The stalls are arranged in the far southwest corner of the parking lot furthest from anything else. The dispensers are all in a row which doesn’t leave good parking options for vehicles that have charging port locations that don’t work well with the short V3 cables. There is no pull-though spot at this location.

Concentration
This is an odd 6 stall V3 location. Normally V3 sites come in multiples of 4, but here there are two sets of three. The dispensers are arranged in the far corner of the parking lot completely away from anything else. The power cabinets are placed directly behind the dispensers. The shorter cables make for trickly parking for some vehicles. The positioning of this site in the parking lot leaves lots of room to maneuver to connect.

This site acts mostly as a destination charger supporting drivers who are travelling into the thumb for various activities.

Speed
The currently installed V3 power cabinets can produce up to 500V and 600A. The power cabinets are connected by the high voltage DC bus and thus can share power amongst all the dispensers. Of course, this 500V limitation reduces the peak charging speeds for some 800V architecture vehicles. In this case the dispensers here are marked as only 350A, adding an additional limitation to the power available. I could not confirm any markings on the transformer, but I believe that this is likely a 300kVA unit, which also contributes to site power limitations. Here that would be 50kW per car if all 6 ports were in use.
Summary
I enjoyed my quick stop to charge up at this location. This leaves just one more currently open lower peninsula Tesla location that supports non-Tesla vehicles that I have not visited. Voltron charged well using the Hyundai provided J3400 to CCS adapter. I parked on the end as to not block an extra stall location, although I need not worry as no one else came to charge while I was there. There could be more amenities for this kind of site, but the most important factor of reliable charging is covered.
